This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) applies to information Kaino Enterprises LLC, d/b/a Vacation From Cleaning (“Vacation From Cleaning,” “we,” “us,” and “our,”) collects when you visit our website, available at www.vacationfromcleaning.com (“Website”), or use the Vacation From Cleaning software application platform (“Platform”) (collectively, the “Services”), and describes how we use this information, with whom we share it, and the choices you have in connection with these activities.

1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT, HOW WE USE IT, AND HOW WE SHARE IT

When you interact with our Services, we collect your personal information. Personal information is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household. 

A. When you engage with our Platform, we collect your personal information when you: 

  • Create an Account. When you create an account, we collect your identifiers (name, email address, telephone number, and password), and with your consent, geolocation information. We will use this information to set up your account, track your services, and communicate with you about our services by email, push notification, and SMS message (with your consent). You can opt-out of SMS messages by following the instructions in the communication, opt out of push notifications by changing the settings on your mobile device, and opt-out of email messages by clicking the “unsubscribe” button in each email. Please note that we will continue to send you notifications via email necessary to the Services or requested products or services. We will share your identifiers (name and email address) with our email marketing provider to send you the marketing emails. Our email communications contain tracking technologies, to analyze whether a predefined action took place by a recipient, such as opening our communications, in order to better adapt and distribute our communications. When you opt-in to our marketing communications, you are opting into the use of these technologies. You can disable tracking by disabling the display of images by default in your email program.
  • Complete a Request Form. When you complete a request form, we will collect your identifiers (address, email address, telephone number). We will use this information to schedule your appointment and communicate with you about your appointment and our services. This information will be shared with our cleaning partners to set up the services on your behalf.
  • Contact Us. When you complete the “Contact Us” form, we collect your personal identifiers (name, email address) and any information you include in the “Message” field of the form.  We use this personal information contact and communicate with you about the subject of your message.  We will use your email address to send you emails regarding our products and services that we think may be of interest to you. We will share your identifiers (name and email address) with our email marketing provider to send you the marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in each email. Please note that we will continue to send you notifications necessary to the Services or requested products or services. Our communications contain tracking technologies, to analyze whether a predefined action took place by a recipient, such as opening our communications, in order to better adapt and distribute our communications. When you opt-in to our marketing communications, you are opting into the use of these technologies. You can disable tracking by disabling the display of images by default in your email program.
  • Chat. When you communicate with our cleaning partner through the Platform, we will collect the content of the conversation to facilitate the communication. This information will be shared with our cleaning partner to assist with processing your request and answering your question.

B. When you interact with our Website, we collect your personal information when you:

  • Make a Purchase. When you use the Website to pay for a service or purchase a gift card, we will collect your personal identifiers (name, email address, billing address, and telephone number). We will use this information to process your payment. We will use your email address to send you emails regarding our products and services that we think may be of interest to you. We will share your identifiers (name and email address) with our email marketing provider to send you the marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in each email. Please note that we will continue to send you notifications necessary to the Services or requested products or services. Our communications contain tracking technologies, to analyze whether a predefined action took place by a recipient, such as opening our communications, in order to better adapt and distribute our communications. When you opt-in to our marketing communications, you are opting into the use of these technologies. You can disable tracking by disabling the display of images by default in your email program. PayPal, which is not governed by this Policy, will collect your PayPal information to process payments to Vacation From Cleaning. Vacation From Cleaning does not collect your PayPal information or financial account information.
  • Log In to your account. When you log in to your account through the Website, we will collect from you your identifiers (email address and password). We will use this information to authenticate you to your account. 
  • Book a Service. When you book a service through the Website, we collect your identifiers (name, address, email address, telephone number). We will use this information to coordinate your service with our cleaning partner (and share this information with them), communicate with you about your booking, and send you information about services that may be of interest to you in the future. We will use your email address to send you emails regarding our products and services that we think may be of interest to you. We will share your identifiers (name and email address) with our email marketing provider to send you the marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in each email. Please note that we will continue to send you notifications necessary to the Services or requested products or services. Our communications contain tracking technologies, to analyze whether a predefined action took place by a recipient, such as opening our communications, in order to better adapt and distribute our communications. C. Generally, when you interact with our Services, we collect your personal information when you:

  • When you speak with a customer service representative. When you speak with one of our customer service representatives we will collect your personal identifiers (name, email address, telephone number), and if the call is conducted on a recorded telephone line, with your consent, your auditory information (a recording of your voice during the call). We will use this information to troubleshoot or otherwise assist you with the topics discussed during the call. 
  • Contact us with an inquiry by email. When you communicate with us by email, we collect your personal identifier (name and email address) and any other information you choose to include in your correspondence. We use this personal information to respond to your questions or inquiries, troubleshoot as necessary, and address any issues you have with our Services. We will share this personal information with our third-party email service provider to facilitate our email communication with you. We will also use your email address to provide marketing emails regarding Vacation From Cleaning products and services that may be of interest to you. We will share your identifiers (name and email address) with our email marketing provider to send you the marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicked on the “unsubscribe” link in each email. Please note that we will continue to send you notifications necessary to the Services, or requested products or services. 2. HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION 

Vacation From Cleaning shares personal information in the following instances: 

  • Within Vacation From Cleaning. We share your personal information within Vacation From Cleaning for the legitimate business purposes of efficiently and effectively providing the Services, such as accounting and customer service support. Access to your personal information is limited to those on a need-to-know basis. 
  • With service providers. We share personal information with service providers that assist us in providing the Services. These service providers are described more specifically in the PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT, HOW WE USE IT, AND HOW WE SHARE IT section of this Notice. We otherwise share your personal information with our website and Platform developers, IT provider, and communication service provider to efficiently provide the Services. 
  • In the event of a corporate reorganization. In the event that we enter into, or intend to enter into, a transaction that alters the structure of our business, such as a reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, joint venture, assignment, consolidation, transfer, change of control, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock, we would share personal information with third parties, including the buyer or target (and their agents and advisors) for the purpose of facilitating and completing the transaction. We would also share personal information with third parties if we undergo bankruptcy or liquidation, in the course of such proceedings. 
  • For legal purposes. We will share your personal information where we are legally required to do so, such as in response to court orders, law enforcement or legal process, including for national security purposes; to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights, as required to enforce our terms of service or other contracts; to defend against legal claims or demands; to detect, investigate, prevent, or take action against illegal activities, fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the rights, property, or personal safety of any person; or to comply with the requirements of any applicable law. 
  • With our Partners: We will share your personal information with our partners who provide the cleaning services, to coordinate the booking and cleaning services. 
  • With your consent: Apart from the reasons identified above, we may request your permission to share your personal information for a specific purpose. We will notify you and request consent before you provide the personal information or before the personal information you have already provided is shared for such purpose. You may revoke your consent at any time.

Vacation From Cleaning may also share anonymized and aggregated data (“De-Identified Information”) in marketing materials. Vacation From Cleaning may also use De-Identified Information for commercial collaborations with private companies for purposes such as product design or enhancement of services we provide.

3. GENERAL INFORMATION CHOICES

You have the following choices with respect to your personal information:

  • Correct or view your personal information. You may access your Vacation From Cleaning account profile to correct or view certain personal information of yours in our possession and which is associated with your profile.
  • Opt-out of marketing communications. You may opt-out of receiving marketing emails from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link provided with each email. Please note that we will continue to send you emails necessary to the Services or any assistance you request. You may opt-out of SMS messages by following the instructions in the communication chain, including responding “STOP”.
  • Location settings. You can prevent your mobile device from sharing your location data by adjusting the permissions on your mobile device or within the Services.
  • Push notifications. If you have enabled push notifications, you may disable these at any time by updating your device settings.
  • Uninstall the Platform. You can stop further collection of your personal information through the mobile application by uninstalling it.
  • Opt Out of Other Cookies.  All session cookies are temporary and expire after you close your web browser. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s directions. Please note that each web browser is different. To find information relating to your browser, visit the browser developer’s Website and mobile application. If you reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent, some features of our website may not function properly. If you choose to opt out, we will place an "opt-out cookie" on your device. The "opt-out cookie" is browser specific and device specific and only lasts until cookies are cleared from your browser or device. The opt-out cookie will not work for essential cookies. If the cookie is removed or deleted, if you upgrade your browser or if you visit us from a different computer, you will need to return and update your preferences. By clicking on the “Opt-Out” links below, you will be directed to the respective third-party website where your computer will be scanned to determine who maintains cookies on you. At that time, you can either choose to opt out of all targeted advertising or you can choose to opt out of targeted advertising by selecting individual companies who maintain a cookie on your machine.

4. DO NOT TRACK

We do not recognize “Do Not Track” requests for internet browsers. Do Not Track is a preference you can set to inform websites and applications that you do not want to be tracked.

5. SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We implement and maintain reasonable security measures to protect the personal information we collect and maintain from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. These security measures include encryption and access controls. However, no security measure or modality of data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the personal information we have collected from you.  

6. AGE RESTRICTION

The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of eighteen (18). If we learn that we have collected or received personal information from a child under the age of eighteen (18), we will delete that information. 7. USE OF THE PLATFORM OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES 

Our Platform is designed for use by individuals in the United States only. We do not market or offer our services outside of the United States. We do not warrant or represent this Policy or the Platform’s use of your personal information complies with the laws of any other jurisdiction. Our Services store, process, and transmit information in the United States and other locations around the world, including countries that may not have the same privacy and security laws as yours. 

8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE

We may amend this Privacy Notice in our sole discretion at any time. If we do, we will post the changes to this page, and will indicate the date the changes go into effect. We encourage you to review our Privacy Notice to stay informed. If we make changes that materially affect your privacy rights, we will notify you by prominent posting on the Website and/or via email, and request your consent, if required.
